Last weekend a group of my “Tico” pals invited me to spent the weekend at Montezuma Costa Rica. Prior to this, I had heard quite a lot about the wonderful things to do at Montezuma and the hot parties held every weekend at the town. So anyway we drove there in my pal Miguel’s convertible from San Jose and I have got to say that although the road trip took about 5 hours but it was certainly enjoyable and the scenery was superb. We checked into the El Sano Banano Village Hotel and Restaurant which is strategically located on the main street of the town. The hotel is value for money and the rooms are comfortable plus they are equipped with the basic amenities including satellite TV. Moreover the hotel is famous for its movie night where they show a different English movie every night on their giant screen. However as you know were not there to watch a movie but to party the night away in town. Without a shadow of a doubt, the hottest bar in town has got to be Chico’s bar which is conveniently located on the main street and extends all the way onto the beach. The bar is usually overcrowded over the weekend with both locals as well as international tourists flocking to this place. So it was no exception when we visited the bar last weekend. We had a great time dancing and drinking away plus we met quite a few hot single women and I think we are going to stay in touch! I couldn’t remember what time we got back to the hotel but we had major hang over in the morning. Anyway for the 2nd night we decided to take it easy and check out Luz de Mono hotel’s bar which is famous of its wonderful live music and concerts. In a nutshell, I have to admit that the nightlife there certainly exceeded my expectation and I will no doubt visit the town again in the near future.
