His Job as a Father
This exmormon on a message board I visit finally let it out – what his beef is with the church. He claimed all sorts of reasons, but it finally came out that his son was in financial trouble and had nowhere to sleep one night. It was snowing that night and he couldn’t find anyone in the church to help him. This guy was furious. I said, “Wait a minute. He’s your son. What did you do to help him?” He said his son couldn’t stay at his home because his wife ran a daycare and because he failed his background check due to trouble with the law, he wasn’t allowed in the home. Still, he could’ve paid for a hotel or something.
