As school children, recess was our favorite time of the day.  We got to play around outside, talk to our friends, and use the jungle gym at on the playground.  Usually the floor was covered with pebbles or pieces of old shredded tires.  This safety precaution was due to the certainty that some child would be falling from the top of the metal climbing dome.  To climb to great heights is a thrill for adults and children alike.  Grappling to the top of the play ground climbing dome is what gave many mountain climbers their start.  To enjoy a sport at its basic level is always the first step.
