The quaint little coffee shop makes excellent coffee. The guy behind the counter tamps the brown dust into a stainless steel thimble, which is then jammed into the maw of the large silver coffee machine perched on the counter. It certainly isn’t one of the best coffee makers around, I can tell from all the sounds. But sure enough, the magic liquid squirts out into the coffee cup after the machine does its work. In goes a little milk, and I watch the amazing swirl of colours in the cup. You know, I actually wonder how old the coffee machine is. I might ask the guy just to satisfy my curiosity.
