On Wednesday night a brief, but powerful storm rolled through Valley County leaving a mess for Donnelly and Cascade residents to clean up.  High winds moved boat ramps and docks, and took out power for over 700 residents.

Without power many stores had to throw out spoiled food, and there was no gas available for 24 hours in Donnelly since the only gas station in town had no power for 24 hours.

The cleanup will also included clearing large pine trees that fell on cabins, homes, and businesses in the area.  There were no reports of Boise Idaho homes losing power due the same storm.

This morning my friend Cindy called me to tell me that her and her husband had a meeting with a loan officer about USDA loans. Cindy told me that the meeting had went well and she that she felt confident that her and her husband would be able to get a loan for the house that they had wanted. She said today that she and her husband just had to answer some questions and fill out some paperwork. She said the guy they had the meeting with said they should hear something about the loan within a week. I told Cindy to let me know when she heard something about the loan.

We needed a trade show booth for the upcoming AIA convention. I knew the company that was going to build the booth but their design team was rather weak. All their booths looked the same. I remember a few years back I worked with this great San Francisco based architectural rendering firm. They did some renderings of a condo project in napa for me. We ended up working with them to create the booth first in 3d. The renderings were a great tool to help me understand how the design will work and how it can be improved. In the end we got a really nice booth.
